§ 10.08.020. Excess weight prohibited on certain streets.

  • A.

    No person shall operate any truck having a gross weight in excess of three tons on any street within the designated area in the county as herein described and set forth on the map referred to in Section 10.08.010, except on those streets specified for such designated area in Section 10.08.010, and further except as hereinafter provided in this chapter. For the purposes of this chapter, "truck" includes the words "truck and trailer, or any combination thereof" and "any commercial vehicle" as defined by the Vehicle Code of the state.

    B.

    Except as otherwise provided in this chapter, no person shall operate any truck having a gross weight in excess of seven tons on any of the following described streets:

    1.

    Avenue 10 ½;

    2.

    Lanes Bridge Drive;

    3.

    Avenue 11;

    4.

    Fig Grove Road;

    5.

    Rolling Hills Drive;

    6.

    Road 432;

    7.

    Indian Lakes Estates subdivision, consisting of:

     Road 417 East of Quartz Mountain Road (Picayune Road), Modoc Road, Modoc Court, Cheyenne Road, Oneida Avenue, Ottawa Avenue, Chinook Road, Navajo Avenue, Navajo Court, Huron Road, Huron Court, Seminole Avenue, Sioux Road, Erie Road, Delaware Road, Delaware Court, Crow Road, Cherokee Road, Comanche Road, Klamath Avenue, Miwoc Avenue, Apache Road, Apache Court, Blackfoot Road, Blackfoot Court, Hopi Avenue, Chickasaw Road, Shawnee Avenue.

    The road commissioner of the county is authorized and directed to post appropriate signs on and about the above-designated streets and roads giving notice of the weight restriction provided by this subsection.

    C.

    Alternate routes for the designated streets and roads in subsection B of this section are as follows:

    1.

    Avenue 10 and Business Highway 41 are alternate routes for the streets and roads designated in subsections (B)(1) through (B)(5).

    2.

    Road 274 is an alternate route for Road 432 designated in subsection (B)(6).
