§ 2.09.050. Electronic filing of campaign and other disclosure statements.

    Any elected officer, candidate, committee, or other person required by Chapters 4 or 7 of the Political Reform Act (California Government Code sections 84100, et seq.) to file statements, reports or other documents with the county clerk or clerk of the board may file such statements, reports, or documents using the county clerk's/clerk of the board's online system according to procedures established by the county clerk or clerk of the board. From and after January 1, 2018, such filings must use the county clerk's/clerk of the board's online system, except that the statement of economic interests (as required by Chapter 7 of the Political Reform Act) may be filed using the clerk of the board's online system through December 31, 2019, after which use of the online system will become mandatory. The requirement for online filing shall be subject to the exemptions, limitations, and requirements set by California Government Code Sections 84615 and 87500.2 and applicable regulations adopted by the California Fair Political Practices Commission.

    B.

    All material filed electronically pursuant to this section shall be made available to the public free of charge. However, the data made available on the internet shall not contain the street name and building number of the persons or entity representatives listed on the electronically file forms, nor any bank account number required to be disclosed by the filer. The county clerk shall make a complete, unredacted copy of such filed materials, including any street names, building numbers, and bank account numbers disclosed by the filer, available to any person upon request.
