§ 9.28.140. Speed limit.

  • No person shall operate a vessel or any type of watercraft at a speed in excess of forty miles per hour on Bass Lake during those periods when red warning flags are being flown at the direction of the sheriff. Red warning flags shall be flown during those periods when congested conditions, rough water, limited visibility or when any other condition exists which would make operation of a watercraft in excess of forty miles per hour hazardous or otherwise unsafe. This section shall not supersede any existing speed limit in any area of Bass Lake, and shall not supersede those speed limits imposed by state law for the protection of bathers, beaches used by bathers, landing floats, swimming floats, lifelines and diving platforms.
